HEAD/Penn Racquet Sports has announced the promotions of Greg Mason to Director of Marketing and Pro/Specialty Sales and Phil Mintz to Director of Key Accounts/HEAD USA, both effective immediately.

Mason’s advancement will unify the marketing and product development departments with the pro/specialty sales force to continue to strengthen HEAD/Penn’s process of delivering the best products to U.S. pro/specialty shops.

“HEAD has numerous initiatives in place designed to support the pro/specialty channel including the “Elite Retailer Program,” the exclusivity of various tennis racquets to pro/specialty shops and “Drive for Sales” sell-through programs,” said Kevin Kempin, VP Sales & Marketing, HEAD/Penn Racquet Sports. “With Greg’s promotion, we are emphasizing our commitment to pro/specialty partners.”

Mintz’s focus now shifts to managing sales and promotional efforts for mass merchants and sporting goods chains, as well as internet distribution for HEAD/Penn and Mares Dacor Diving. His leadership will allow HEAD to more succinctly develop special product, strategic promotions and targeted marketing plans in a unified manner for mass merchant and sporting goods chains.

“Phil’s new focus on these two category leaders at HEAD USA will simplify our sales and service processes for both divisions,” said Kempin. “His promotion will enable us to maintain our leadership position in the U.S. market.”
