Hanesbrands Inc. announced that Gerald Evans Jr. will stay on as a consultant for a year after he retires as CEO at the close of this fiscal year.

On March 11, Hanesbrands said Evans had notified the company’s Board of Directors that he will retire on January 2, 2021, the end of the current fiscal year. The Hanes Board of Directors has started a comprehensive search process to identify the company’s next CEO with the assistance of Russell Reynolds Associates.
