GSI Commerce Inc. nominated Andrea M. Weiss and Michael J. Donahue to it’s board of directors. Each will stand for election for a one-year term at the company’s annual meeting on June 30.

Weiss is president and chief executive officer of Retail Consulting Inc., an international retail consulting company she has owned and operated since August 2002. Weiss has more than 25 years of experience working in executive and senior management retail positions. Donahue, one of the founders of KPMG Consulting, completed more than 20 years as an executive with BearingPoint Inc. and KPMG LLP.

“Andrea and Michael are welcome additions to our board. Andrea brings extensive experience from the retailing arena and Michael contributes two decades of providing management and operations solutions to public companies,” said Michael G. Rubin, chairman and CEO of GSI Commerce. “We look forward to meaningful contributions from both.”

In addition to her company, Weiss, 50, served as president of dELiA*s Corp., a direct marketing and retail company comprised of lifestyle brands for teenage girls from April 2001 to Aug. 2002. From May 1998 to February 2001, Weiss was the executive vice president and chief stores officer of The Limited Inc., where she was responsible for developing and directing the sales strategy for more than 5,000 retail stores. She also served as the president of Guess? Inc., from Feb. 1996 to April 1998, where she oversaw the retail division. From May 1992 to Feb. 1996 she was the senior vice president and director of stores for Ann Taylor Stores Inc. She also served as the director of merchandise operations for The Walt Disney Company from April 1990 to May 1992. Weiss serves on the boards of CBRL Group Inc. and e-Diets.com Inc. Weiss holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a master of administrative science degree from The Johns Hopkins University.

Donahue, 47, currently serves as a self-employed advisor in the technology industry. Previously, he spent a 20-year career with BearingPoint, KPMG Consulting and KPMG LLP. He was one of the founding members of KPMG Consulting and helped build that company from a private consulting business to a global, public corporation with $3.4 billion in revenue. Donahue served as group vice president and chief operating officer for BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, from Jan. 2000 to March 2005, where he directed the company’s global functions including consulting operations, alliances, business development, infrastructure, international solutions and technology. He also managed the process for the company’s initial public offering in Feb. 2001 which raised more than $2.3 billion in proceeds. From Oct. 1984 to Jan. 2000, Donahue was a partner for KPMG LLP in New York City where he operated a business unit that represented 40 percent of the company’s consulting revenue. He served on the board of directors of KPMG LLP from 1998 to 2001. Donahue also serves on the boards of Air Products and Chemicals Inc. and Arbinet-thexchange Inc. Donahue holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and history from the University of Pennsylvania and also completed the international management program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
