Grassroots Outdoor Alliance is inviting the public to attend a fundraiser for a documentary of Jeff Lowe’s life on June 14 at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center in Ogden Utah. The event coincides with the Alliance’s 11th annual early show, which takes placeat the  Ogden Eccles Conference Center from June 13-17.


The fundraiser will feature a dramatic mulitmedia presentation  for Jeff Lowes Metanoia, the extraordinary documentary film on the “Life & Climbs of Jeff Lowe,” now in production.

The public is invited to join the Alliance for a captivating evening of slides, music, movie clips, story telling, and silent auction, and thus help us to complete the inspirational movie of Jeff’s life story: a true tale of love, survival, a pathological optimist, and his indomitable spirit, narrated by Jon Krakauer.


Jeff Lowes Metanoia explores extraordinary alpine accomplishments, from mountain top to wheelchair. Starting out as one of the world’s youngest alpinists, Jeff Lowe has amassed a lifetime of impressive alpine accomplishments and contributions to the climbing world. He now faces the challenge of life in a wheelchair with the same characteristics and philosophies that won him unprecedented success on the worlds most impressive rock walls and in the great mountain ranges of the world.


Those interested are invited to arrived at Peerys Egyptian Theater in Jeffs hometown of Ogden, Utah on June 14  for a very special evening with legendary alpinist, Jeff Lowe and Malcolm Daly, executive director of Paradox Sports. Together they will tell the story of this extraordinary film with beautiful, never before seen footage from the Eiger Nordwand. Josh Wharton is featured on the notorious face as he repeats sections of Lowes 1991 unimaginable solo first ascent, Metanoia. You will hear and see stories from Jeffs life through film and slides and from the lips of life long friends, Jeff and Malcolm.
