After ten years of running a Spring Early Show, Grassroots Outdoor Alliance will be hosting its first annual Fall Early Show Nov. 10– 13, 2010, at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort in Stone Mountain, GA.

The Early Buying Show will share many of the same objectives that Grassroots' Annual June Show has focused on. Grassroots will provide a venue for membership and the top twelve outerwear and apparel lines to present their lines and network business opportunities. Participating vendors will include Arc’teryx, Columbia, Ex Officio, Horny Toad, Marmot, Mountain Hardwear, Nau, Outdoor Research, Patagonia, Prana, Salomon and Smartwool.  According to Marvin Webb, co-owner of Rock/Creek, “These shows are the very best and most cost effective way to work with a vendor and we look forward to attending the show.”.

The Fall show will be hosted on the East Coast to provide a balance to the June show that has been held at the Snowbird Resort in  Utah. The atmosphere at Stone Mountain will provide a professional working environment but also offer a myriad of outdoor activities for attendees to  enjoy. Located on 3,200 acres of natural beauty,  Stone Mountain Park features a wide variety of things to do including hiking, running, cycling and paddling. There are also indoor and outdoor pools, a golf course, spa and fitness center.

Wednesday, Nov. 10 will be an evening for Grassroots members only, to learn more about the history of Arc’teryx with George Curleigh, Director of Sales N.A.

Thursday evening will showcase a collection of some of this year’s best Mountainfilm selections along with an introduction by David Holbrooke, Festival Director of  Telluride Mountainfilm. Films to include “Eastern Rises”, “Pickin’ & Trimmin’” and “Alone on the Wall”.

Friday evening will feature a presentation of BagIt!, a film directed by Suzan Beraza. The film is a documentary focused on the powerful impact of plastics on society. Director Suzan Beraza challenges viewers to examine their lives and consider the impact of their choices.
