Gramicci said it is responding to to US recession challenges with several new Gramicci products available to retailers at a 20-25 percent discount under the company's new Fall 2012 “Pass It On Savings” structure, to be unveiled this month at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2012.

In a move to eliminate emerging retailer concerns about the fluctuating economy, every Gramicci product classification will have a Pass It On Savings item or items, intended to be an extremely persuasive product for retail buyers.

“Apparel sales become even more important as dealers address uncertain economic times. The prolonged effects of bank and big business bailouts, excess foreclosures, lenders' ongoing reluctance to loan and an election year, we will have consumers reluctant to spend,” says Marty Weening, president of Gramicci. “To that end, we've secured new partnerships that help us maintain the quality our customers expect, at record setting price points, that we can 'pass on' to our retailers and the end consumer.”

The Pass It On Savings pricing program comes after a year of across-the-board price increases in labor, raw materials and freight. Generally, these increases in part have been passed on to outdoor retailers and consumers — nearly a 7.5 percent increase since 2009.*

Although “Pass It On Savings” will be directed to the Fall buying programs — this Spring 2012 will offer various discounts to consumers as they log on for the new Spring collection, live mid February at Gramicci.com.

“We strive to be students of our consumer, recognizing their needs and their financial limitations,” continued Weening. “With our new Pass It On Savings, giving the customer what they need, at values that exceed their expectations.”
