GoLite, which shifted to a direct-to-consumer model last year, opened its newest store at Bridgeport Village in Portland on Friday.

The Boulder, CO-based company manufactures lightweight, high performance, responsibly-made clothing and equipment for outdoor adventure and travel.

GoLite’s newest store comprises 3481 square feet in Bridgeport Village, which promotes itself as Portland’s premier shopping destination. It is located in a prime corner location near Saks Off 5th at 7445 SW Bridgeport Road. The store will employ 7 people from the opening. The store is GoLite’s second in Oregon and 17th overall.

Bridgeport consists of more than 70 fine shops and services, including 11 restaurants and an 18-screen Regal Cinema with I-Max auditorium. Shoppers are treated to premium services, such as valet parking and an onsite concierge. Bridgeport Village is conveniently located just off I-5 at exit 290 in Tualatin.

“When we converted from selling to retailers, to selling direct-to-customers last year, we knew we’d be offering market-leading products at ridiculous savings everyday” said Demetri Coupounas, GoLite’s co-founder and president. “What we didn’t know is just how quickly we’d be open in premier centers like Bridgeport Village. We couldn’t be more pleased to help more Oregonians lighten up and enjoy the outdoors more, and to do so more affordably in such a great setting.”
