Boulder, CO-based GoLite has named Dana Donley Morton as marketing director, effective Oct. 30, 2008. As a member of the management team, Morton will report directly to GoLite Co-Founder and President Demetri Coupounas.

Prior to GoLite, Morton was a senior strategist/researcher at the award winning ad agency Crispin, Porter + Bogusky in Boulder, CO. Morton launched her career in the outdoor industry in the 1990s as PR manager for The North Face. Following The North Face, she moved to Jackson, WY and co-founded New Heights, a PR firm specializing in the outdoor and snowsports industries. After leaving Jackson, she became marketing director for the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) and since then has had roles as product marketing manager with Google, Inc. and as a qualitative researcher at Radar Communications, both in Boulder.

“Joining GoLite feels a lot like coming home,” said Morton. “Leaving the outdoor industry for a few years allowed me to spread my wings and gain invaluable and applicable experiences in brand building and research. GoLite is in an exciting position and I couldn’t think of a better place to be.”

Originally from Connecticut, Morton graduated from the School of Journalism at the University of Colorado. She lives in Boulder with her husband, one-year-old son and Golden Retriever.
