Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc., in its latest volley to court tennis consumers, will launch its first-ever tennis catalog, Center Court. It will hit homes this week, just prior to the start of the U.S. Open.

Featuring Maria Sharapova on the cover, Center Court showcases the latest in colors and fashion apparel, footwear and accessories, and the newest technologies in tennis racquets. Other world-class athletes featured in the catalog include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Amelie Mauresmo, Lindsay Davenport and many others.

“Giving tennis players a world-class catalog to shop from is long overdue from our industry,” said Jim Thompson, President and CEO of Golfsmith Golf & Tennis. “Center Court complements our tennis web site and our 41 full-service tennis departments in stores around the country, making it easier than ever before for tennis players to shop for their favorite products.”

The launch of Center Court corresponds to the re-launch of the Golfsmith Golf & Tennis web site and the continued expansion of the company’s golf and tennis stores across the country.

Since fall 2004, Golfsmith has increased the number of golf and tennis stores it operates from six to 41. The company plans to continue rolling out tennis stores as part of its aggressive retail growth plans.
