Fam Brands said it signed a licensing deal for its Tehama lifestyle brand with The Golf Warehouse (tgw.com). Fam Brands also owns Bally Total Fitness, Marika and Zobha.

Tehama was acquired by Fam brands three years ago. Its apparel collection will debut in the second quarter of this year and will be an exclusive category for The Golf Warehouse and licensed for the USA.

Said John Spotts, EVP International and Licensing, Fam Brands, “Tehama is one of the most successful golf brands of all time. In its relatively short brand history, it boasts $1.5 billion in accumulated retail sales. It is clearly the premier lifestyle wear brand for golfing, the country club life and chic casual wear. In fact, the exclusive Robb Report, named it one of the Best Apparel Brands, three years in a row.  Beyond this launch , we have big plans to expand it as licensed property in about 20 additional categories including headwear, golf clubs, shoes, small leather goods and sunglasses.  We will maximize its impact in the marketplace by taking it to the next level as brand owners with an aggressive licensing endeavor.”

Susan Shade, VP of merchandising for The Gold Warehouse adds, “We are thrilled to be able to offer the golf customer the Tehama brand which has always been a favorite for its exceptional styling, quality and performance.”

The debuting line will retail for approximately $40-$60 and include men's and women's bottoms, pullovers and jackets that are updated with new twists and trend elements. Men's polo shirts will feature innovative technical fabrics and the original hang em dry fabrics will continue due to its ongoing demand.

Since its foundation in 1997 Tehama has developed a stellar reputation as a leading purveyor of men’s and women’s tops and bottoms in both woven and knit materials that are ideal for casual and weekend wear.
