According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played were down 4.1 percent in October 2017 compared to October 2016.

The biggest declines came in West North Central, 17.0 percent; East North Central, 14.6 percent; South Central, 9.3 percent;  and Mountain, 3 percent.  Gains were seen in Mid Atlantic, 2.8 percent; South Atlantic, 0.9 percent; New England, 8.7 percent; and Pacific, 7 percent.

For the year-to-date period, golf rounds played are off 2.2 percent.
