The Golf Datatech National Golf Rounds played showed that in most regions, golf rounds played continue to rapidly fall. According to the report, national golf rounds played in the U.S. were down 6.7% in November 2008 vs. November 2007, bringing the year-to-date total to a decrease of 1.6% from last year’s overall results.

The only increase in rounds played came from the New England region, which showed a 0.1% growth for the month. The West North Central region reported the largest decline, with a 19.2% drop from last year’s November rounds.
 
Other regions that posted losses for the month include the Mountain (-6.6%), East North Central (-3.5%), Mid-Atlantic (-6.6%), South Atlantic (-11.4%), South Central (-3.4%) and Pacific (-0.2%).
