According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played was up 2.2 percent in September.

Public access play was up 2.2 percent and private course activity was up 1.5 percent.

Gains were seen in the West North Central region, up 8.9 percent; East North Central, 8.3 percent; South Central, 2.9 percent; Mid Atlantic, 1.3 percent; and New England, 1.1 percent. Declines were seen in South Atlantic, down 5.7 percent; Mountain, 3.1 percent; and Pacific, 0.7 percent.

Year-to-date rounds played were down 2.0 percent.
