Stepping away from the tee and up to the plate, diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has partnered its Golf Pride brand with Easton Sports to create a distinctive bat for the 2005 Little League World Series (LLWS). The bat will feature a high-performance, clear grip with the LLWS logo visible on the handle.

“This one-of-a-kind grip allows equipment manufacturers to customize their product,” said Jeff Fiorini, general manager of Eaton’s Golf Grip business. “We are excited to have the opportunity to partner with Easton. We fully support their efforts to continue to provide exceptional product to young baseball players around the world.”

“Since launching in May, Easton’s Stealth CNT bats have been incredibly popular among youth baseball players,” said Mike Zlaket, vice president of baseball/softball for Easton Sports. “As a result, and thanks to a great partnership we have formed with Eaton, we are giving every player in this year’s Little League World Series a customized, personalized Stealth CNT bat to commemorate their participation in this very special event.”

Easton will be using the grips to customize their Youth CNT Stealth bats, which were created using carbon nanotube technology, developed by Easton and Zyvex. CNT strengthens composite structures to provide improved handle designs with optimized flex, responsiveness, and more “kick” through the hitting zone for maximum performance within the legal limits of the game.
