Giant Manufacturing Co., which is one of the world's largest bicycle manufacturers, reported a dramatic rebound in sales in the fourth quarter.
The company reported sales of NT$14.2 billion ($460 mm) in the last three months of 2014, up 17.1 percent from the NT$12.2 billion reported in the fourth quarter of 2013. While Giant is the largest original equipment manufacturer of bicycles in Taiwan, its own Giant brand vies as one of the top three brands globally.
Giant's sales reached NT$60.2 billion ($2 bb) for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, up 10.9 percent from the NT$54.3 billion reported in 2013, according to monthly sales reports published by The Capital Group, a Taiwanese investment bank.
