Gerber has renewed its status as the exclusive knife and multi-tool sponsor of the 2014 GoPro Mountain Games, which means it will sponsor the event’s “Gear Town” and once again award its signature, limited edition ‘golden axes’ to winners of the Mountain Games competitions.

As symbols of determination, trial and triumph, Gerber’s golden axes are coveted by Mountain Games athletes. Gerber Gear Town is the GoPro Mountain Games equivalent of a farmer’s market, featuring food, beer gardens, exhibitor booths and the largest collection of outdoor brands ever assembled at Vail Village.

“We’ve been waiting for the 2014 GoPro Games since the moment last year’s competition closed and we’re looking forward to being a part of this unique celebration again this year,” said Joe Mattson, Gerber senior brand manager. “It’s one of the highlights of our year and such a natural fit for the brand, and you can bet that we’re coming into Vail loaded for bear this week.”

Gerber Gear Town opens June 6 at 11am and is open everyday during the Mountain Games. Gerber’s booth will again be marked by the ubiquitous Black Boar all-terrain vehicle and will feature an array of the brand’s latest problem-solving products, including the Freescape Series of camping equipment.
