Gearhead Outfitters announced the closure of its retail store in Olathe, KS, only a year after opening the location. In a statement to the Johnson County Post, Gearhead Outfitters told outlet that the closing was part of a “broader strategic review” of the company’s overall national footprint.
Moosejaw, the former tenant, exited the retail space in late 2023.
The Arkansas-based retailer still has a store nearby at the Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, which will remain open.
Gearhead Outfitters operates 21 locations, including seven in Arkansas, five in Tennessee, three in Illinois, two each in Colorado and Missouri, and one each in Kansas and Oklahoma.
