Global Brand Marketing, Inc. has appointed Dan Singer to director of US sales for Nautica. In this new position, Mr. Singer will oversee the expansion of the Nautica brand into department stores, independents and marine retailers. He will also be charged with partnering with Nautica Corporate to seek opportunities to maximize the brand’s growth with use of Nautica's new advertising campaign and direction.

“Dan’s strength lies in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunites within various markets and distribution channels,” said Killick Datta, chairman and CEO of Global Brand Marketing, Inc. “His expertise will assist in further building Nautica’s business in the right accounts.”

Before joining GBMI, Mr. Singer was the west coast manager for Vida Shoe International in the Baby Phat Division. Prior to that, he was brand manager for Skechers USA. He holds over 20 years of experience in the footwear industry and has also worked for Reebok International, Stride-Rite and Nike Inc.

Mr. Singer will report to SVP of US Sales Larry Slivka, and will be based out of GBMI’s corporate office in Santa Barbara, CA.
