Garmont Acquires Life-Link…

Garmont NA has acquired Life-Link Backcountry Travel from its parent company, Life Link International. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Silver Steep Partners served as financial advisor to Life-Link Backcountry Travel. Life Link International still owns the Croakies brand of accessories and plans to continue operations. Garmont reportedly paid roughly $1 million for the brand and its assets.


“After nearly thirty years stewardship we are very happy to hand the Life-Link brand into the capable hands of John Schweizer and his team at Garmont NA,” stated John Krisik, president of Life-Link International. “This sale comes at a favorable juncture for us as we are excited to focus on the growth that is taking place in our Croakies brand.”

Garmont Acquires Life-Link

Garmont NA has acquired Life-Link Backcountry Travel, designers and developers of backcountry equipment. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

With our existing distribution channels and Life-Link’s unique products, we have every confidence that this acquisition will lead to greater market penetration for both Life-Link and Garmont’s products.”
