Gander Mountain is planning a grand opening celebration this coming weekend for its new store in Augusta, GA.
Special events and appearances are happening all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 3, 4 and 5, to celebrate the nations largest and fastest-growing retail network of outdoor specialty stores opening its newest location.
Were excited to officially open our doors to serve even more of the countless outdoor enthusiasts in Georgia and South Carolina, bringing Gander Mountains thousands of products and great customer service to Augusta and Columbia County, said Mike Owens, President and Chief Operating Officer for Gander Mountain. Weve put together a fun grand opening weekend that will fit nicely with our new neighbors passion for the outdoors and active living.
The new 52,000-square-foot Gander Mountain store in Augusta is located in the Flowing Wells Circle shopping center at 145 Mason McKnight Jr. Parkway, just east of the intersection of I-20 and Wheeler Road. The attractive exterior design and interior layout reflect Gander Mountains new store prototype featuring innovative interior elements, displays and fixtures.
Special events and giveaways include:
- Troy and Jacob Landry, stars of Historys hit TV series Swamp People will appear Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 3 p.m.
- Travis T-Bone Turner, Host of Michael Waddells Bone Collector on the Outdoor Channel will appear Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Eddie Salter, host of Turkey Man on the Sportsman Channel and Flextone pro-staffer will appear Friday from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Steve Scruggs, the Snake Master will present his live snake seminars Saturday at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- The Carhartt Experience will be on-site Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., allowing visitors to see the newest innovations from Carhartt.
- The Daisy Inflatable Shooting Range will be on-site Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The first 100 customers through the door at the Augusta location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free $10 Gander Mountain gift card.
- The first 250 customers to make a purchase at the Augusta location on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Gander Mountain gift.
- Customers can register for a chance to win a trip for two to the CMA Awards in Nashville, TN.
The Augusta store is the fifth Gander Mountain location in Georgia, joining existing stores in Albany, McDonough and Valdosta, and a new store announced for Newnan, to open later in 2014.
Gander Mountain has 145 conveniently-located outdoor lifestyle stores in 25 states.
