Gander Mountain is continuing its popular Camo Thursday promotion for a
second year by inviting customers to visit www.camothursday.com to view
and share their favorite items on Facebook and Twitter.

The more shares received on a particular item, the greater the savings received. Shoppers can capture a deal at specific percentage-off intervals during the price drop, or wait until the number of shares drives the price as low as it can go — in many cases, up to 50 percent off. New items, including camouflage apparel, footwear and accessories, will be featured every Thursday starting November 29 and ending December 27.

Gander Mountain will also pick up the tab at random for one online order every hour on Thanksgiving, November 22. That means 24 winners in 24 hours, with one lucky shopper getting his or her total order — no matter the amount — absolutely free. No minimum or maximum purchase required.

“We did this during the inaugural Camo Thursday last year and enjoyed the reaction from customers when they learned their order was on the house,” said Steve Uline, executive vice president, marketing at Gander Mountain. “A Camo Thursday tradition was born.”

In addition to the savings online at gandermountain.com and the Camo Thursday microsite, doorbusters and daily deals will be available in-store Thursday – Saturday, November 22 – 24. All 119 Gander Mountain locations in 24 states will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

“Customers are already aware of our presence on Thanksgiving Day, so this year we're looking for ways to provide shoppers with fun new ways to get the best holiday savings imaginable,” said Steve Uline, executive vice president, marketing at Gander Mountain. “Instead of focusing solely on Thanksgiving Day, this year's Camo Thursday promotion will focus on all Thursdays throughout the holiday shopping season to offer massive savings while allowing customers to call the shots on pricing for some of the most popular items we offer.”

This year's installment of Camo Thursday is the first time a major outdoor retailer is using social media to determine the prices of various items. The Camo Thursday promotion is integrated across all marketing channels, including online and print advertising, social media, public relations, newspaper inserts and in-store signage.
