Gander Mountain is expanding its specialty store network with once again a new location in Woodbridge, VA, set to open in the fall of 2014.

“Gander Mountain is already a well-known and trusted name in Virginia among those who love the outdoors, and who enjoy great traditions like hunting, fishing, hiking, boating and camping,” said Gander Mountain's President and CEO David Pratt. “We are thrilled to bring a new Gander Mountain store to Woodbridge, and give more of our friends in Virginia opportunities to experience our top-quality gear and knowledgeable service at great prices.”

Gander Mountain in Woodbridge will be located in an existing 78,000-square-foot space at 14041 Worth Avenue in Woodbridge, adjacent to the Potomac Mills® shopping center, Virginia's largest outlet mall featuring more than 200 stores. It will be the fifth Gander Mountain location in Virginia, joining existing stores in Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Roanoke and Winchester. The store is expected to create up to 70 new jobs in the community.

“This is wonderful news for the residents of Woodbridge,” said Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank J. Principi. “What differentiates Woodbridge from the rest of Prince William County is its vast amount of outdoor recreational opportunities. Residents have access to the Potomac River, National Wildlife Refuge, Potomac National Heritage Scenic Trail, Leesylvania State Park and various community parks. Gander Mountain is a perfect fit for our community and will be a blessing to our outdoor enthusiasts.”
