G-Form LLC, which makes personal protective gear for team sports athletes, outdoor enthusiasts and military/tactical personnel, announced that it has dedicated its North Smithfield, RI, manufacturing facility, Polyworks, to the production of ANSI/ISEA Z87 D3 personal protective equipment (PPE) face shields.

Following an intensive effort to identify how to best contribute to the safety of health care workers and first responders fighting the pandemic, G-Form’s Polyworks facility is ramping up its operations and is positioned to produce several hundred thousand face shields weekly.

“We understand there’s a real shortage of PPE for those on the front lines. Our Polyworks facility in North Smithfield is preparing to produce as many medical face shields as possible,” said Glen Giovanucci, G-Form CEO.

Though the company already has several hundred thousand face shields committed to various healthcare operations throughout the U.S., G-Form will remain steadfast in its support of the medical community. “We take great honor in supporting the efforts to protect our healthcare heroes with the necessary personal protective equipment,” said Giovanucci.

“G-Form has protected athletes against injury for over a decade. However, the mission to flatten the curve of COVID-19 is paramount,” Giovanucci added. “Our baseball and soccer families are essentially riding out the pandemic within their home confines, while our bike community is still somewhat active and following the appropriate guidance from local authorities. G-Form is laser-focused on assisting as many healthcare workers as possible, and we hope that other manufacturers join our efforts. I would like to thank U.S. Senator Jack Reed and the Rhode Island Commerce Department for their support as we embark on this mission.”
