Fujikura Composites of America has launched the Fit-On Academy, a research and development system designed to create and test new shaft designs and materials. Based at Fujikura’s Vista CA , the Fit-On Academy uses the most advanced analysis and simulation technology to track golfer’s real swings and range of swing speeds to produce exclusive insights used to test and design performance shafts customized for all levels of players of ages, skills and handicaps.

“The Fujikura Fit-On Academy is integral to the development, production and testing of the most innovative performance shafts customized to meet the exacting standards and specific demands of players of all skill levels, ages and handicaps,” says Peter R. Sanchez, President/COO of Fujikura. “We expect the Academy to collaborate our insights from our Tour performance leadership and the world’s leading clubmakers as well as our dealers to produce golf’s most precisely fit shafts for superior feel and performance.”

In the Fit-On Academy, Fujikura has invested in the industry’s most advanced launch monitor and video systems. Those analysis tools are enhanced by Fujikura’s proprietary shaft fitting selection software.

Veteran PGA Tour representative and PGA Professional Pat McCoy, with more than 20 years working with the game’s premier players, and Alex Dee, director of engineering with extensive research and development experience in golf, lead the development and testing teams that run the Fit-On Academy.

“With Pat’s strong Tour and playing experience and Alex’s engineering and design success, we know the Fit-On Academy is an important asset to our ongoing leadership in materials, design and process technology for our OEM partners and global dealer network.”
