Freedom Group, Inc. (FGI) named Tony Moore senior vice president of supply chain, where he will oversee purchasing, service operations and worldwide transportation.

Moore comes to FGI from Cooper Industries, Inc., $1B Bussman Division, where he was global vice president of supply chain, strategic sourcing, logistics and trade compliance.

Prior to his work with Cooper Industries, Moore held senior level positions with companies including BHM Technologies, Inc. and Toyota, where he worked with FGI's newly appointed Chief Manufacturing Officer Kevin Miniard. “Being able to manufacture the finest firearms, ammunition and related products for our customers is inextricably linked to the efficiency of our organization and supply chain management,” said George Kollitides, acting chief executive officer and executive chairman of the FGI board.

“Tony has a strong history of successfully running supply chain and ensuring that production and quality efforts are never stalled, compromised or diminished. Moreover, his management abilities and significant skill set will help arm our more than 3,000 employees with the tools they need to bring the highest quality products and services to our customers,” said Miniard.

“As someone who has always had a passion for shooting and the outdoors, I am excited now to be in a position where I can bring my professional skill set to a group that represents a part of the American culture that I have always identified with,” said Moore. “Freedom Group has made clear its dedication to strong supply chain management – a move that will help to ensure excellence in product development, manufacturing, quality control and customer service. I could not be more excited about working with this outstanding team of professionals.”
