Fox River Mills, the socks maker, hired Jennifer Whitley as its new brand manager. Whitley brings more than 23 years of outdoor industry experience to the 110-year-old sock manufacturer.

“With more than one hundred years of experience, a variety of styles and markets, Fox River has unmatched expertise in the industry,” said Whitley. “I'm excited to join such a passionate group of people. Fox River has a rich history in the industry. I look forward to add a fresh perspective to this category leader.”

Whitley will be responsible for helping shape the marketing and direction of Fox River's lines of branded socks that include more than 100 styles in the outdoor, work, hunting, military, snow, casual, women's and kids lines.

Whitley comes to Fox River with extensive outdoor industry experience as a buyer and as a sales representative. Her past jobs include sales rep at The Holton Sales Group, LTD., outdoor clothing buyer and department manager at Scheels All Sports, and outdoor clothing buyer at Fin and Feather Outdoor Store.

“Jennifer's 23 years of industry experience will give us great insight into minds of buyers and consumers, so we can continue to do what we do best – making the best performance socks at a fair price, a promise Fox River was founded on,” said John Lessard, President of Fox River Mills.

Whitley's duties begin immediately and will drive marketing efforts to support the brand's new packaging and winter products releasing in January 2011 that are consistent with the high caliber the industry and consumers have come to expect from the country's oldest sock brand.
