Fox River Mills has named Becky Lessard Chief Environmental Officer. Lessard has been with Fox River since 1982 and was most recently vice president of finance & administration.
For the past 20 years, Lessard has led the sustainability team at Fox River.


“Becky is the perfect person for this job. She has the experience and the unwavering dedication,” says Fox River Branded Division President Joel Anderson. “Becky began working with noted Iowa conservationist Wes Birdsall in 1984 to initiate energy-reducing programs at Fox River. Since that time, she has been the driving force behind Fox River’s mission to recycle virtually everything we use, source environmentally-friendly products used throughout our mill, and implement significant water and energy conservation systems at Fox River.”


In fact, Fox River is part of a state-of-the-art environmental initiative in Osage reducing energy costs by more than 30%.
Lessard notes, “Our dedication to leaving the least imprint we can on the earth is nothing new at Fox River. We are doing everything we can to not only bring our innovative products to market, but to help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and advance our renowned sustainability programs.”
