Marcus Lemonis, who stepped down as CEO of Camping World, Inc. at the start of 2026, has assumed the role of CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc.
On December 8, Camping World announced that Matthew Wagner, the company’s president, would succeed Lemonis as CEO on his retirement at the close of 2025. Lemonis, who had been Camping World’s CEO since 2006, continues to serve as co-founder and special advisor to the nationwide dealer of new and used RVs, outdoor gear and camping supplies.
Lemonis has been involved with Bed Bath & Beyond since 2023, serving as executive chairman after the brand’s acquisition by Overstock, which later rebranded as Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. He will continue as executive chairman.
Bed Bath & Beyond did not have a CEO. Lemonis replaces Alexander Thomas, who was appointed COO in March 2025 and whose role was terminated at the end of the year. Thomas will continue as an advisor to Bed Bath & Beyond for a transition period.
