Flat Fitty/Lavish Headwear said 19-year industry veteran Mark Voight has joined its team as the new San Diego County outside sales rep.

“Mark is a true industry veteran, someone that knows the Action Sports industry as well as anyone selling in it today, begins John Swenson, Director of North American Sales, “Mark has poured 19 years of loyalty into the Action Sports Industry, that kind of dedication shines with the connections he has made, not only with the core, but big box retailers as well. His relationships, with real decision makers, athletes and industry veterans – coupled with his over-whelming sales skills made him a target acquisition from the minute I was green lit to start hiring my dream team.” Swenson finishes, “If you look at what Mark has done over his career, it shows that he is a true brand builder, having accomplished great sales for every new and emerging brand that has brought him on board. I cant say enough about how ecstatic we are to welcome Mark into our growing organization.”

Executive Vice President Kevin Dring said, “Mark brings name recognition, most importantly he brings sales experience to our already excelling team. Mark has a respected portfolio of diverse brands that he’s worked with previously; Osiris Shoes, MADA, Lost, Alias, Peak. He’s shown a pattern of working for, and excelling with, well managed, profitable, growing brands – that experience will play a significant role here at Flat Fitty / Lavish over the next few years during our record growth. Dring completes his thoughts, “Mark was a sales veteran when he started working for Alias back in 95, that type of industry experience rarely comes available, so when someone of Mark’s notoriety is willing to devote himself solely to our brand, you gotta respect his belief in what we are accomplishing globally.”

Tian Waters, CEO, said, “It is important to truly understand your competition; by understanding them you determine their strengths and weaknesses. Someone like Mark that has sold our competitors products for over a decade, can immediately distinguish what Flat Fitty does better than most. Our organization focuses on exceptional Customer Service, Quick Deliveries and High Quality, elements greatly lacking in today’s headwear industry. Mark immediately identify our brand’s strengths and felt passionate enough to give up his other brands for the opportunity here at FF. That kind of belief from a super rep like Mark is overwhelming to me, for an industry veteran to see and appreciate how much market share we are gaining is awe-inspiring. Flat Fitty is outinnovating, outservicing and outpricing the competition.”

Voight is a 19 year veteran ASL sales rep whose first industry sales position was for Peak / Rip Curl Wetsuits. He has been a lifelong surfer who graduated from SDSU and was a member of the 1987 NSSA National Championship team. In 1995 Mark started working with Alias Distribution, at the time Evol Snow and Skate and later in 1997 turned into Osiris Shoes, he was the sole California rep when the revolutionary skate shoe, the D3, hit the market. In 1996 thru 2000 Mark worked with a new emerging brand, LOST, selling both surfboards and apparel. Voigt also put in considerable work helping to launch MADA from 2004-2008. Mark is the third generation of surfing Voigt’s in San Clemente. He is married to college sweetheart and they have three boys who will likely become the 4th generation of surfers in San Clemente.

Voight said “excited to have the opportunity to work for a group that knows manufacturing so well, a group that DOESNT sub out to brokers. Learning that Flat Fitty has been at the supply chain source for more than half a decade – setting up their factory base, dialing in quality and delivery times shows determination to produce quality headwear faster, harder and at greater value than our competition. Our products, our services and 600 customers in 65 countries show that we are a strong manufacturer for this industry for decades to come. I am really happy to be here and be part of something truly unique to our industry.”
