Fjällräven, the Swedish heritage outdoor brand, announced the dates of its keynote annual trekking event, the Fjällräven Classic, to be held from June 27 through June 29, 2018 in the Colorado Rockies near Fjällräven North America’s home in Colorado.

Entering its third year in the United States, this high-altitude trek beckons kindred spirits—a range of experienced hikers to beginner backpackers—and Fjällräven fans from around the world into the backcountry to celebrate the outdoors and the community of like-minded adventurers.

“Since 2005, Fjällräven Classic has been an institution in Sweden. More than 20,000 people have trekked through the Lapland Region in Sweden with Fjällräven. And, we have been humbled by the excitement and growth surrounding Classic USA in its first two years,” says Nathan Dopp, president, Fjällräven North America. “This year, we are excited to welcome more trekkers into our backyard and spend a few unforgettable days on the trail with them as a tribe of trekkers.”

The 2018 Fjällräven Classic USA will take trekkers, novice to experienced, through the rugged and dramatic landscapes of the mountains along the Colorado’s Continental Divide. With the goal to encourage and enable individuals to experience the outdoors, trekkers will journey for three days and two nights—carrying everything they need to live in the wilderness, sleeping under the stars and making friendships that transcend the trail. Checkpoints along the route will provide trekkers with foodstuffs, gas for Primus camping stoves, access to first aid, entertainment and additional assistance.

“Fjällräven Classic USA is the perfect opportunity for us to show Fjällräven’s fans an authentic piece of our brand’s heritage. Fjällräven is rooted in experiences that connect us with the outdoors, and we are excited to continue that tradition at the 2018 Classic USA,” says Joe Prebich, VP of brand at Fjällräven North America.

In addition to Fjällräven Classic USA, taking place June 27-29, 2018 in Colorado, Fjällräven hosts treks around the world, with events in Sweden, Denmark and Hong Kong. For more information about The Fjällräven Classic Global Trekking Series, visit www.fjallraven.com/classic.
