Fits, the manufacturer of premium performance and lifestyle sockwear, will help support some of the world’s most elite cycling athletes at Stage 6 of the USA Pro Challenge in Vail, CO. As one of the top cycling events in North America, 128 world-class riders from 30 countries will be competing for seven consecutive days August 18-24, 2014 with a Time Trail stop on August 23 in Vail.

The annual cycling event has quickly become a popular event in worldwide cycling, attracting an impressive list of professional cyclists from around the world in the competition’s fourth year. This year’s race includes Pro Challenge defending champion and fifth-place finisher last month in the Tour de France, Tejay van Garderen, as well as 2014 Tour de France KOM Jersey winner Rafał Majka and teammate and Tour de France stage winner Michael Rogers.

Fits, a sponsor of the Vail Valley Foundation (VVF) and the Stage 6 Vail Time Trial, will be giving away performance socks to professional cyclists and lucky spectators alike. The Fits Pro Trail, a performance-fitting sock with full-ankle coverage was recentlyhailed by Bicycling Magazine as the perfect winter cycling sock with, “reinforced bottom and contoured toe cap [that work] well for cycling.”

Last year the Stage 6 USA Pro Challenge winner was decided by just four-hundredths of a second. The ten-mile route,which starts in Vail and climbs most of the way up Vail Pass, provides the perfect time-trail challenge with gentle grades on the first half of the course that give way to a final three-mile climb.
