Marika,  the women’s activewear brand, announced the opening of its first branded retail store at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The store sits in a prime location right next to the food court in the A-B Terminal and offers a variety of product categories for both women and men.

The Marika Store was opened in collaboration with Stellar, a premier travel retailer currently operating in 19 U.S. airports.

“Stellar is very pleased to partner with Marika in bringing highly popular athleisure apparel to travel retail,” said Nancy Rosales, vice president of merchandising for Stellar. “Athleisure is a trend that continues to gain momentum, and this innovative partnership fills an oft-underserved niche in airport retail.”

While the store features a large selection of Marika activewear, casual wear and fitness accessories, it carries other well-known brands and products including:

  • Under Armour apparel
  • Swell water bottles
  • Aloha Collection splash-proof travel bags
  • Malvados flip flops & sandals
  • Sticky Be Socks

Marika’s shop-in-boutique opened January 31 of this year adding more variety to the airport’s shopping options for travelers. Since its launch, sales have continued to exceed expectations, even with a full-price retail strategy. FAM Brands already planning another store opening in Philadelphia with additional airport stores on the horizon.
