The Finish Line Youth Foundation has officially launched its 2012 Holiday Drive in more than 640 Finish Line stores across the U.S. and online at finishline.com This year’s goal for the Holiday Drive is $2 million as Finish Line customers are encouraged to “Add Cheer to the List.” Last year, the Youth Foundation raised a record-breaking $1.78 million through donations.

“The generosity of Finish Line customers during the Holiday Drive brings opportunities to disadvantaged youth throughout the year,” said Marty Posch, executive director of the Finish Line Youth Foundation. “Whether it’s one dollar, $10 or more, each contribution makes a difference.”

Donations from the 2012 Holiday Drive will help fund programs for community-based youth athletic programs as well as camps and other organizations that provide services to individuals who are disadvantaged or disabled.

New this year, Special Olympics, Finish Line’s national signature charity, has been added as a Holiday Drive beneficiary. Donations from the Youth Foundation will benefit Special Olympics activities nationwide, including Special Olympics TRAIN (Testing Recreational Activities and Improving Nutrition), a new sport and nutrition assessment tool for athletes and their families.

Finish Line customers are encouraged to donate at checkout both in-store and online through December 31.
