Filson announced it will open a new store in the Pearl District in Portland, OR this November, joining the likes of outdoor retailers REI, lucy and Icebreaker.

The new store will occupy 2400 square feet on the ground level of the historic Confectionery Building and is in addition to two other Filson stores, one in Seattle, where the company was founded, and the other in Denver.

“Our new location in the Pearl District puts us right in the heart of this energetic, outdoor city,” said Bill Kulczycki, president and CEO of Filson. “Portland offers the perfect backdrop for residents to partake in the many outdoor activities that Filson customers enjoy. We couldn’t think of a better venue to extend the brand, especially as we are in good company with many other outdoor retailers in the market. We already have loyal customers in this area and look forward to introducing more outdoor enthusiasts to the Filson family.”

Located at 526 NW 13th Ave, the Portland store will feature handmade custom Craftsman inspired detailing and outerwear, sweaters, shirts, pants, chaps, shorts, underwear, footwear, luggage, dog products and accessories.

The Pearl District has been undergoing significant urban renewal since the late 1990’s, including the removal of a viaduct and the construction of the Portland streetcar.  Filson’s durable yet comfortable outdoor clothing is a favorite among hunters and fishermen, engineers and explorers, mariners and miners, and anyone who has a passion for the outdoors.
