Fernandez Holdings, Inc. (FHI) acquired Kash CA, including Freedom Munitions, Ammo Load Worldwide, X-Treme Bullets, and LAX Ammunition retail locations.

The purchase was finalized in August 2022 through an amicable sale by the previous owner, Daniel Kash, to FHI.

With the acquisition, FHI will increase its production capacity and look for ways to vertically integrate its manufacturing process vertically.

FHI is repositioning the company as Freedom Munitions, LLC, the primary manufacturer of Freedom Munitions, LAX Ammunition, X-Treme Bullets, and also includes Ammo Load Worldwide, the division responsible for designing and building ammunition manufacturing equipment.

With this transition, Freedom Munitions’ General Manager, Toby Thill, was promoted to president, effective August 1, 2022. Thill has been with the company for 17 years, having worked in ammunition development and manufacturing aspects during his tenure.

FHI also hired Tadd Wooton as chief financial officer on August 1, 2022. Wooton was previously the CFO of Solutionz, Inc., an audio-visual systems integrator also owned by FHI, responsible for finance and accounting functions while guiding the company through growth and acquisition strategies since 2015.

Under the transition, X-Treme Bullets will maintain its manufacturing operations in Carson City, NV, emphasizing plated bullets.

LAX Ammunition will continue to serve Southern California as an ammunition retailer and firing range.

Manufacturing facilities in Idaho will continue to produce ammunition and components and design and build ammunition loading equipment.

Daniel Kash now serves as a consultant for the brands.

“The transition from Kash CA to Freedom Munitions has been seamless thus far. Dan Kash and I agree that this was a great move to solidify the future of this company as a premier ammunition, components and technology manufacturer,” said Thill.
