The Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA), America's largest footwear trade association, announced the selection of a new leadership team. Greg Tunney, president and CEO at RG Barry Corporation, will continue to serve as the chairman of FDRA.  Rick Muskat, principle of Deer Stags Concepts, will take the helm as FDRA’s vice chairman and Ed Rosenfeld, CEO of Steve Madden, will serve as FDRA’s treasurer.

“Over the past year, I’m proud to say FDRA has increased its products and services to the industry as well as increase our membership ranks,” said FDRA Chairman Greg Tunney.  “I am confident that with Rick moving up to Vice Chairman and Ed joining our leadership team, we will be able to do even more for the industry in 2014 and beyond.”

“I’m honored to have been selected as Vice Chairman.  I believe in FDRA and the value it provides footwear companies across the country,” said Rick Muskat.  “I look forward to how we can engage the industry over the next year, as well as be an even greater advocate for them in Washington.”

“Today, almost all of the footwear industry’s leading executives are on FDRA’s board to help guide it,” said Matt Priest, President of FDRA.  “Under Greg Tunney’s leadership, FDRA has really enhanced its brand and has developed into a more robust organization, better helping our members understand and address new challenges.  I’m excited that Rick Muskat is now Vice Chairman because he has been active with FDRA for nearly a decade, and has helped transform our financial strength so we have more resources to help the industry.  I know he will help push us to new heights as an association.  I’m also happy that Ed Rosenfeld is joining the leadership team.  Ed has a lot of energy and adds depth to an already robust FDRA Board of Directors.”
