EyeBlack announced a partnership with the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, Inc., owner of Minor League Baseball (MiLB), to become an officially licensed manufacturer of products bearing the logos of all 160 MiLB clubs and 14 associated leagues.

The multi-year deal, which takes effect for the 2012 season, also includes word mark and logo rights for several all-star games, mascots and the likenesses of current MiLB players. MiLB-branded EyeBlack will be available for purchase by athletes and fans in the Original product line to start, but the agreement also allows for production in the Smear, Warrior and Clear lines.

In June 2011, EyeBlack announced a licensing agreement with Major League Baseball (MLB) which gave the company rights to produce MLB-branded EyeBlack for all 30 teams, the MLB “silhouetted batter” logo and all-star game logos. Featured in the MLB product line are Original, Original Small, Smear and Clear in black, pink camouflage and Club colors.

“Partnering with Major League Baseball last spring was critical for EyeBlack to reach a previously untapped sector of the market,” said Peter Beveridge, founder and president of EyeBlack. “This new agreement with Minor League Baseball and the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, Inc. is another step in continuing our efforts in professional baseball and allows our brand to reach a wide audience of baseball fans.”

Based in St. Petersburg, Fla., MiLB hosts over 40 million fans a year in their stadiums across 43 states and Mexico. Spring training for all teams participating in the 2012 MiLB season begins March 2-3, with Opening Day taking place on April 6 this year. The 2012 season will mark the 111th year of existence for Minor League Baseball.
