The World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), based in Bern, Switzerland, has hired Alexandra Knezovich as head of global public affairs and advocacy.
Knezovich reportedly brings 15 years of experience developing and scaling advocacy platforms and multi-stakeholder coalitions at global, regional and national levels, focusing on the intersection of business and impact.
Knezovich has reportedly worked across Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia throughout her career, engaging a broad range of stakeholders including governments, international institutions, corporates, NGOs, donors, and academic partners.
“Using her ability to aggregate and harmonize diverse interests, Alex specializes in stakeholder engagement, strategic positioning and coalition-building,” WFSGI said in a media release. “Her work has consistently helped industries and organizations articulate a clear, credible, and unified voice. Her experience spans critical issues such as global health, economic development, responsible business practices, and ESG.”
Knezovich shared, “I’m excited to join the sporting goods industry and look forward to bringing its passion and the industry’s power to policymakers. Working closely with our members, we will unify and sharpen the global sporting goods industry’s voice to position us as a trusted partner in global health, economic development, and responsible business.”
WFSGI said the appointment to this new role reflects its commitment to proactive engagement in advocacy and responsible leadership at a time when the sporting goods industry is playing an increasingly important role in shaping healthier societies and more sustainable economies.
