Traffic Distribution GmbH (Traffic), based in Cologne, Germany, is expanding its global network with the launch of Traffic Distribution USA, Inc. (Traffic USA).

The company said the launch coincides with the 30-year anniversary of WeThePeople BMX, the flagship brand of We Make Things GmbH, marking its 30th anniversary in 2026, and is intended to underscore the long-standing heritage of the brand that Traffic brings to the U.S. market.

We Make Things GmbH is described as a “bicycle industry group” based in Germany, and home to the WeThePeople Bikes, Bombtrack Bicycle Company, Radio Bikes, Éclat, Seido Components, SaltBMX, and Fuse Protection bike brands.

“The U.S. venture marks the third Traffic Distribution entity, following established businesses in Europe and the United Kingdom,” according to a media release from the company. “Traffic USA is being built as a full-service distribution company with a strong on-the-ground presence, focusing on dealer/distributor support, account management, and long-term partnerships, backed by a dedicated U.S. team.”

Traffic indicated that Traffic USA will distribute all We Make Things brands in the United States. The portfolio will expand with selected third-party brands.

WeThePeople said the brand has reportedly maintained a strong and consistent presence in the U.S. market as it celebrates three decades of influence in the global BMX scene.

Traffic USA will reportedly work with Cycle Source Logistics as its U.S.-based logistics partner, operating out of Ames, IA, to provide warehousing and nationwide fulfillment.

“We’re excited to support Traffic USA with warehousing and fulfillment from Ames, Iowa,” commented Nyle Nims, president of Cycle Source Logistics. “The team has a clear vision for the U.S. market, and we’re looking forward to helping build a strong, reliable, and efficient operation.”

Harry Schmid, managing director, We Make Things GmbH, added, “The launch of Traffic Distribution USA Inc. is a significant step for Traffic as a global distribution business. Our goal is to be present in the market, support both distributors and dealers properly, as well as build real, long-term relationships. Nyle and I have known and respected each other for many years, so working together with CSL was a natural decision. Ames, IA, felt like the right place to build this next chapter, a place where I feel comfortable and confident establishing this operation.”

Traffic Distribution GmbH is an independent global bike distribution company with operations in Europe, the UK and the United States. The company focuses on long-term partnerships with distributors and dealers, a strong local market presence, and hands-on support across BMX, gravel, and performance cycling categories.
