British security brand Hiplok has appointed Sports Nut as its new distributor for Germany and Austria. The move is expected to support the next phase of the bicycle and motorcycle security company’s growth across the region. The appointment marks the company’s second new distributor in the EU added since May after the company named TCK Sports Group as its bicycle distributor for the Benelux (Belgium-Netherlands-Luxembourg) region.
Sports Nut has reportedly been a member of the Hostettler Group since 2014, according to a company media release. Sports Nut GmbH is based in Tübingen, Germany and is said to be “a specialist distributor for bicycle dealers in Europe, with a portfolio of class-leading international brands.”
“Sports Nut has an excellent reputation within the industry, an experienced team and a proven track record of representing premium brands,” said Stuart Bailey, head of sales, Hiplok, “We look forward to working together and building on the foundations already in place.”
Daniela Thinius, managing director of Sports Nut, added: “Hiplok is known for developing innovative security products and is a natural fit for our portfolio. We see significant opportunities in our markets and our team will focus on working closely with independent bicycle dealers to build awareness of the range and support its continued growth.”
