Loubsol, the French performance eyewear and protection specialist, has agreed to a deal with Volcom whereby Loubsol will design, manufacture, and distribute Volcom sunglasses, optical eyewear and accessories, sports goggles, and protective helmet products for men, women and children across Europe. Volcom is a portfolio brand owned by Authentic Brands Group (Authentic).
The product will reportedly be inspired by Volcom’s deep roots in boardsports. Founded in 1948, Loubsol has built a legacy of developing premium sunglasses, ski goggles and helmets for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes. Together, the two brands are expecting to create products that combine technical expertise with Volcom’s distinctive cultural heritage and creative perspective.
“Volcom has always been rooted in the cultures of skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding, making eyewear, goggles and protective equipment natural extensions of the brand,” said Hay-Won Byun, VP, Action & Outdoor Sports, Lifestyle at Authentic, which owns the Volcom brand. “Loubsol’s heritage, technical innovation and commitment to quality make them an ideal partner as we continue to expand the Volcom brand.”
Daniel Eros, managing director, Loubsol, added, “Our team is incredibly proud to partner with Volcom and welcome the brand to the Loubsol portfolio. Volcom is a truly legendary brand that has always pushed the limits of action sports, and we are excited to translate that unmistakable style into the eyewear, goggle, and helmet categories. Designed in the heart of the French Alps, this collection combines our alpine technical expertise with Volcom’s creative heritage for high-performance, style-driven product that stays resolutely ‘True To This’.”
The first Volcom eyewear collection is expected to launch in Spring 2027, with snow goggles and helmets launching the following season.
