Eastern Mountain Sports has appointed Robert K. Mayerson as Executive Vice President, CFO and COO. His role is vital in establishing the companys framework for strategic growth. Initially, Bob will have responsibility for Finance, Human Resources, and Logistics.

He was instrumental in making Staples a known and respected brand and has broad international experience through his strategic work with Staples in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He and I will have a close partnership as we align our people and streamline our processes. Having Bob in our top team only increases my confidence in a very successful future for Eastern Mountain Sports.”
Prior to joining EMS, Bob was Senior Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Staples, a multi-national, multi-channel retailer. In his ten-plus years at Staples, Bob also held the positions of SVP and Corporate Controller. For two years, Bob was the founding CFO at Tilion, Inc., a software and services start-up, where he led successful financing rounds and was responsible for finance, HR, legal and operations. He also brings strong financial experience from his eleven years with PepsiCo, Inc.
Bob holds a BA from Hampshire College, Massachusetts and an MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He lives in Harvard, Massachusetts with his family.
