Partex Apparel International, an El Salvador manufacturer, has obtained a $1.1 million judgment, plus pre-judgment interest in a breach of contract case against Gear for Sports Inc., a sports apparel company owned by HanesBrands, Inc., according to Franklin Zemel, a partner with the law Arnstein & Lehr LLP.

Partex claimed that Gear for Sports failed to pay for several shipments of sports apparel that it had received. The lawsuit was originally filed in the Southern District of Florida in 2010 because Partex maintains a corporate bank account in Miami. In July 2010, GFSI requested and was granted permission to move the case to Kansas district court, which announced the ruling March 28.
