Easton Hockey has added Tom Maher as VP of U.S. hockey sales, and Rob Connerty, regional sales manager of U.S. hockey sales.

Maher and Connerty will work out of Easton’s Van Nuys headquarters and remotely from New Hampshire and Vermont, respectively. Maher, who will report directly to Easton Hockey EVP and general manager Geoff Sadowy, will be tasked with developing new and existing business in the U.S. market through strategic planning and market share leadership. Connerty, who will report directly to Maher, will be charged with directing regional sales within the U.S.

“The hockey market continues to evolve around us and we strongly believe that the rate of change within the organization needs to exceed the rate of change outside the organization,” Sadowy said. “In hiring Maher and Connerty – two proven industry veterans – we’ve defined our internal structure while further committing the Easton Hockey division to continued growth within the marketplace and improved service levels.”

From 2002-2005, Maher served as the acting business director for Nike/Bauer Hockey within the United States, following a two-year stint as Nike/Bauer Hockey’s eastern regional sales manager. Prior to his five-year commitment to Nike/Bauer Hockey, Maher worked as a global sales manager and account representative for four years with Nike Inc.

Connerty, who most recently served as Easton’s U.S. sales manager from 2004-2007, garnered sales experience with both CCM and Bauer as a national director for both The Hockey Company and Canstar Sports from 1996-2003.
