Early season skier visitation at 22 Colorado resorts surpassed last year’s level by 10%, thanks largely to some of the earliest opening days in years, the  Colorado Ski Country USA confirmed last week.

Three of CSCUSA’s 22 member resorts – Loveland, Arapahoe Basin and Wolf Creek – opened before November, while 13 more opened by Thanksgiving.

Drier conditions brought challenges to some resorts. Powderhorn in Western Colorado did not open until Dec. 23.
