Early season skier visitation at 22 Colorado resorts surpassed last year’s level by 10%, thanks largely to some of the earliest opening days in years, the Colorado Ski Country USA confirmed last week.
Three of CSCUSA’s 22 member resorts Loveland, Arapahoe Basin and Wolf Creek – opened before November, while 13 more opened by Thanksgiving.
Drier conditions brought challenges to some resorts. Powderhorn in Western Colorado did not open until Dec. 23.
