The Off-Price Specialist Show has reported early July Pre-Registration numbers for their August offering that have already exceeded the 2007 August shows pre-registration from four weeks out. Increases in new buyers, international and traditional retailers coupled with a rise in buyer participation in special hotel rates, and other Off-Price programs are indicators of an August marketplace that will be very active.
This year, the Off-Price Show has more options available to aid buyers. These include a virtual tour, MyShow Agenda Planner, and an interactive floor plan on their website, www.offpriceshow.com. Browne, Marketing Director for the Off-Price Specialist Show and Tarsus Group USA, was recently named Group Publisher for the Off-Price Show media products. He replaces Bob Nordstrom, who stepped down last May after ten years of service. Browne has been involved with Off-Price since 2003, when he managed the re-branding campaign for the show and the magazine. He joined the parent company in 2004 to launch a new show in the packaging industry and support marketing initiatives for Off-Price. He was promoted to Marketing Director in 2006.
