Eagle Creek is proud to announce they have promoted Dan Funk to retail merchandising manager. In his new position, Funk will be responsible for driving the global strategy and execution of Eagle Creek’s environmental design and in-store presentation across all channels of distribution.

“I am super excited about this new role,” said Funk. “Over the past two years, I’ve had a chance to dive deep into brand messaging and consumer trends, learning what resonates and what doesn’t. I’m really looking forward to re-envisioning how the Eagle Creek brand shows up at retail, and engaging consumers with our new Find Your Unknown brand story.”

“In the two years since joining Eagle Creek as marketing coordinator, Dan has added passion, critical thinking, creativity and project stewardship to the marketing team,” said Monica Rigali, marketing director at Eagle Creek. “He has a deep understanding of the Eagle Creek consumer, which will serve him and the brand well in bringing our seasonal stories to life at retail. Dan’s consumer-facing marketing instincts, passion for travel and the outdoors and natural leadership ability bring a fresh perspective to the team.”

Prior to joining Eagle Creek, Funk spent four years at Boardworks Surf, in roles ranging from digital marketing to accounting. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Florida State University and completed a Design Media Certificate from UC San Diego. In his youth, Funk earned the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.
