Dynamic Brands, the parent Company for Bag Boy, Burton, Datrek, Devant, Sir Christopher Hatton and Slotline, announced that golf industry product design and engineering expert Doug Anderson has been named the Company’s Director of Product Development.

In his new role, Anderson will direct the R&D and innovative product development initiatives for all distinct golf brands housed in the Dynamic Brands portfolio. With more than 17 years of experience in all aspects of product engineering, Anderson’s primary focus will be to lead the product development efforts for the Company’s business units — golf bags, walking carts, travel covers, towels and accessories — with a strong emphasis on the Datrek and Burton golf brands.

“Doug is well respected within the golf industry, and his accomplishments while working with some of the game’s major equipment manufacturers makes him the ideal candidate to lead our R&D and product development efforts,” said Leighton Klevana, COO, Dynamic Brands. “On the heels of adding Burton, Datrek, Devant and Sir Christopher Hatton to our collection of leading golf brands, it was important for us to bring in a proven product development pioneer to drive our product innovation to the next level.”

Prior to Dynamic Brands, Anderson held several management positions within the product design and engineering divisions of Ping Golf and the Karstan Manufacturing Corporation, since 1991. Most recently, Anderson served in a management role for Ping Golf’s Soft Goods Division, where he directed all aspects of the production process including strategy, R&D, design, prototyping and the final production for the Company’s large scale soft goods product lines.

While Anderson will be charged with overseeing product development for all brands within the Company’s portfolio, he will pay special attention to the growth and reinvigoration of Datrek, a leading manufacturer of innovative golf bags, known for fashion forward designs and cutting edge features, and Burton, a name synonymous with superior craftsmanship for over 100 years.

Adds Klevana, “Weve recently complemented our existing core business units with some of the most storied brands in golf, including Datrek and Burton, thus it was important to support the growth of these brands by bringing in an established and innovative leader, who is savvy in all phases of product development.”
