Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) recently launched waterfowling.com, a new website for North American waterfowlers who are interested in waterfowling in Canada.

The new site features a GIS mapping component of pre-selected DUC projects that can be accessed for duck hunting through Google Earth. At this time, the Prairie Provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta are posted online and work is underway to expand this service to areas across Canada.

Waterfowling.com also provides links to provincial regulations and permits, showcases information about DUC's wetland conservation mission and how people can support DUC, as well as trivia, recipes, tips and more.

“Waterfowlers are among the most conscientious of outdoors people and by making this information available to them on waterfowling.com, we expect their time invested on our site will help their duck hunt,” says Jeff Nelson, DUC's Chief Executive Officer.

“There have been numerous studies that point to the vast economic benefits realized through hunting and fishing. When people travel to hunt, they need places to stay, food to eat and non-resident licences to hunt among other things. If people are planning to visit Canada to waterfowl, we feel this site will help make their trip as seamless as possible. If people have a good experience, they will come back.”
