DT Swiss has opened a new factory in Poznan/Oborniki, Poland to meet demand for wheels designed and developed in Switzerland. The plant, which employs 110, has begun production and together with an adjoining European service center spans 5,000 square meters.


“The opening of our factory in Poland is an important step to be able to meet increasing demand on high quality DT Swiss wheels and to maintain our leading position in the market in the future”, says Frank Böckmann, one of the proprietors of DT Swiss AG. “The production location within Europe is perfect to guarantee short delivery times and to supply the customers as quickly as possible.


With the Polish facility, DT Swiss now has a multi-use building with the potential to expand at any time whenever the market demands change.

Since its foundation in the early fifties, DT Swiss has evolved into the first company worldwide which produces every component of the bicycle wheel. The company makes spokes, nipples, hubs, rims, complete wheels as well as suspension systems. While headquartered in Biel/Switzerland, the company manufactures in Switzerland, Poland, the United States and Taiwan.
